Henna by COLOR ELATION COSMETICS

Hey girls! You may remember my previous posts about the eye shadow collections from Color Elation Cosmetics. Today, I’m gonna show you that not only they do have amazing shadow collections, but their single shadows are magnificent as well!

Along with three eye shadow collections, Tamera – the founder and proprietress of Color Elation – also sent me a bunch of samples. I love all the colors, Tamera makes beautiful choices. However, one of the colors that really stood out to me the most was the color Henna.

You see, most of the colors from Color Elation are lovely shimmers, but the very few that are mattes really stand out. Henna is a matte, deep cinnamon color.

It is such a versatile eye shadow. You can wear it as eyeliner by using a damp, flat brush or blend it with other colors to do smokey eye. However, because it’s such a powerful shade, you can also choose to wear it alone. Like what I did for Em Trava’s photo shoot for her designer portfolio.

The staying power of this eye shadow is amazing – it lasted all day and all night! That’s one thing I like using about mineral eye shadow like Color Elation. Aside from really strong pigmentation, it lasts forever as well.

  2. Lovely color, the depth of the pigmentation is phenomenal. If these pigments are available in the US I'll have to put them in my "Check this stuff out" list. Great post, and the photos are great.

    1. I agree, loose eyeshadow can be a mess, one has to be extra careful in applying. but other than that, it's great!
